Smoot "Mouth." . -; The Smoot "Mouth" Friday printed its usual daily attack upon the health department of Salt Lake City. This timo it was more vicious than usual, in that it declared that smallpox had developed de-veloped at tho home of Chief of Defectives De-fectives George Sheets, and stntcd that Health Commissioner Stewart had failed to euforce quarantine. Mr. Sheets'? home was given as 1121 Bueno avenue. The facts are that Chief of Detectives Sheets does not live at the plncc mentioned, men-tioned, no smallpox has occurred in his familv. hence then; was no necessity of quarantine. At. the place designated bv the Smoot "Mouth" resides a sister of Mr. Sheets. One of her children, a boy. was stricken with smallpox. Dr. Stewart, the health commissioner, was called in. He pronounced pro-nounced thn case smallpox. Quarantine was immediately ordered, and it has been enforced, and is today. Chief of Potcetives Sheets said to The Tribune Thursday night that there was not, nor has there been, any smallpox small-pox in his liome. which is llo South Eleventh East, street.
