Show GOOD DAY FOR BEARS IB THE WHEAT PIT Heavy Soiling of July Is Feature of Trading; Market Steadies Near Close. CHICAGO, June 11. Renewed selling of July was tho feature of trading in wheat and the price of that option moved over a range of 2J cents. At the close the market was weak, but buying of deferred futures by prominent firms created a stcadjer feeling. The chief factor In the situation was the near approach of harvest In several of tho leading winter wheat states and the generally bearish tenor of crop reports re-ports from the southwest. Improved conditions abroad were largely responsible respon-sible for a decline of 2ij?id at Liverpool, which had a weakening effect here at the start. Tho rally occurred toward xnlddav, owing to the strength of northwestern north-western markets, particularly that at Winnipeg, which was up 3 cents, 'and was duo largelv to a brisk demand for the cash grain. The advice Indicated fresh selling of July and that option declined from 51.17S to ?1.15. At tho close, July was 1c below the previous close, but the Sent ember and December options showed slight gains. Corn was nervous nearly all day In somewhat sudden turn, but at times displayed dis-played firmness, owing to light offerings from the country. An easy tone prevailed pre-vailed at the close and prices were a shade higher to i'ic lower compared with yesterday. Oats were weak on general selling, based on the bright prospects for Uie new crop. At the close the market was off !'2c. Provisions were easy at the start, but became firm during the last, quarter of the day. The final quotations showed gains of 5 to 12 cents.
