Three judgments by default, aggregating aggrega-ting $H,5i!S, were entered against the Continental Mines and Smolting company com-pany in Judge Armstrong's division of tho Third district court JFriday. Ono of the judgments was for $10.-000 $10.-000 in favor of Thomas II. Dale, on it promissory note for that, amount dated Februarv 20. 190(5, and due November 20, (lie' same year, with $1000 attorney attor-ney fees and $lS(iG interest. Another was in favor of Joshua Crowther for $1204. for services rendered as bookkeeper book-keeper at $t)0 a month from January I. 100:1. to December .'51, 1007. The it her was in favor of the Agency company com-pany and was for $1GS for premiums on lire and accident insurance policies. The Agency company is suing the Continental company on a supplemental complaint to have it thrown into the hands of a receiver. The company, it is alleged, has fraudulently attempted to transfer nil its holdings to a fictitious ficti-tious corporation known as the Unity Mines company, to prevent the Agency and other creditors from enforcing their claims against it. The Agency also asks that the Unity be restrained from working the Continental's properties prop-erties pending the termination of the case. The hearing on the receivership will conic up before Judge Morse next Friday. . |
