Show GENERAL STRIKE ON GOULD SYSTEM IS NOT IMPROBABLE TKXARKAXA, Ark.. June 11. A call for a general strike on the Gould system of railways in ihe southwest is believed not an improbable ontcomo of the meetings of the general committees commit-tees of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and I3nginemen in session here, discussinc controversies between the Texas & Pacific railroad and the employees' organization. Timothy Shea, vice president of the organization, who is presiding over the sessions, says efforts to adjust the several sev-eral disagreements, involving a demand that a discharged employee be reinstated, rein-stated, and the right of Ihe organization organiza-tion to represent its members in disputes dis-putes be recognized, give lint small prospects for a settlement. Mr. .Shea concludes a statement as to Hie situation situa-tion with the declaration that "under the laws of our organization wc have the right to involve the entire svstem of railroads in that jurisdiction"" |
