Show mmn plunging BEATS CORNELL TEAM First Contest the Two Universities Univer-sities Have Played for Twelve Years. CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Nov. 6. It was Harvard's plunging and "help tho runner" run-ner" attack and her stono wall defonse that defeated Cornell, 18 to 0, in the first football gamo between the two universities uni-versities in twelve years today. One touchdown was made in the first half after eighteen minutes of play, and two more were added in the second, with goals from all three. Thcro wero fifteen distinct Crimson marches toward the Cornell goal. In tho ninety scrimmages in which Harvard Har-vard had the ball, 453 yards were covered. cov-ered. The first touchdown wa3 tho result of nine rushes from tho center of the field with Minot carrying, tho ball. In -tho second half Frothinghain circled the Cornell right for fifteen yards and then wa3 hauled along with his jersey over his head for ten yards farther. The last touchdown was the culmination of another march from the center of the field with a forward pass. Cornell players were alwaj's on the defensive, but showed somo fine football foot-ball and uncovered ono of the niost intricate, in-tricate, spectacular and well executed forward passes that has been seen on Soldiers' field since this play was introduced intro-duced into the game.
