Cook are lirst examined. A message was sent lo Professor Williii L. Moore, president of the Na iH tional Geographic society at Washing 'ton, as follows: "Tho university canuot accept th otTered a.ssislauee," laking it for granted IH that the data and records after our 1 examination will be placed at the dis- posnl of other scientific institutions.". A member of the university said "We unanimously refused the re quest of I ho National Geographic so-ciolv', so-ciolv', bocause wo consider it unneces-sarv, unneces-sarv, and for the reason wo nro com-potent com-potent to examino t.ho records . alone.
