A litl.lo chaneo of an encouraging nature has been encountered en-countered in the Zack shaft, Mr. Lovy states, an oxidized formation having been broken into, with all indications pointing to the near approach of a high-grade oro body. Good progress is being mado in the crosscut to tho lissuro vein, which will bo reached in a short time. On the -100 level in the Brilliant shaft a winze is boing sunk on tho cross fissure, and though a distance of a very few feet, had been made when Mr. Lovy loft, all indications at this point ot tho work were satisfactory. Tho drift to tho east of the American shaft, being run from tho 250 level, is opening open-ing up promising property. Will Uso Drill. Mr. Lovy has arranged for a novel S3'.stem of prospecting, to bo inaugurated inaugu-rated in the Zack shaft. A churn drill will bo dropped down the inanway to tho 400 level, where it will pound its way through tho earth for an additional addi-tional 500 feel. This is for tho double purposo of determining the thickness of tho lime crust that is believed to cap tho porphyry oro bod' and to determine de-termine the How of water that will be developed with greater depth. This drill will bo opera led in such a manner man-ner that it will not be necessary to suspend operations in tho shaft and development de-velopment will go on ns usual. |
