Clay Tierce, head of tho Waters-Pierce Oil company, made a second important move late today in their efforts to bring a quick termination of flic trial of their client on a charge of false swearing. The second move was an objection to the introduction of the affidavit 011 which I he charge is based. The point will be argued tomorrow. Objection to the affidavit js based on the ground thai it was acknowledged beforo Miss N. M. Nagel. who ou account ac-count of her sex, was incompetent fo act as a notary public. The plea of. immunity im-munity was hied immediately after a plea of not guilty had been entered. |
