Sorenson, county coun-ty horticultural inspector, for November, Novem-ber, is of more than usual interest. Mr. Sorenson hns a word to say about apples, ap-ples, their iuspcctiou and importation. Ho says there has becu gratifying improvement im-provement iu fruit conditions generally. general-ly. The pertinent portions of Mr. Sorenson Sor-enson ?s report read: In the month of November 11. CM bushels bush-els of apples passed through Inspection, eighteen carloads containing 10,800 bushels, bush-els, several odd shipments less than car-. car-. loads, containing 1021 bushels, and sixty-four sixty-four wagonlonds containing 2420 bushels, a total of 11.241 bushels. Of these. 1033 bushels were quarantined and sorted and ill bushels destroyed. Of the carload lots live cars were from California, very good; live cars from Colorado, onlv passable; three cars from Idaho, good', two cars from Sanpeie, fair: one car from Ogdcn, fair: one car from Trovo and one car from limer.c hardly passable. There weie llfi.000 trees dug In the nurseries; 1.1 000 of them were Inspected 'and fumigated where needed, and most of them delivered and sent lo customers. Tie; other, about lnn.fiOQ trees were stored In houses for further inspection, sorting and fiimlg.it Ion. The deputy Inspectors worked total of sixty days.
