SULLIVAN'S LIFE IS SAVED BY OPERATION Pete Sullivan was released from SL Mark's hospital Thursday, where he has been since his boxing contest with "Cyclone" "Cy-clone" Thompson In Osden two weeks ago. Sullivan underwent an operation which he says was caused by a foul blow struck by Thompson In his light with tho latter last winter. Thompson fouled Sullivan Sul-livan again in the last light, but Sullivan says he does not bellovc that Thompson intended to. The doctor who attended eii'Mvnn said that he did not sec how Sullivan could do his training, let alone get in the ring to light, and said that had Sullivan not undergone the present operation he would not havo lived eight months more. Sullivan will leave Saturday for Wye ' nlng, where ho will spend tho rest of the summer on a ranch to recuperate, and will return to the ring next winter, at which time he hopes to meet Dalton i and Thompson and show himself when he is right.
