OCR Text PRESIDENT REFUSES TO TALK FOR PHONOGRAPH OYSTER BAY, Is". Y.. July 1G. President Roosevelt has refused an offer to make speeches into the receiver of a talking machine for the purpose of making mak-ing records for public use. The President attended to official business busi-ness this morning and this afternoon assisted as-sisted Mrs. Roosevelt In entertaining tho members of tho St. Hilda society of the Christ Episcopal church. Tho society assists in tho parish charitable cases, and Mrs. Roosevelt each year entertains Its members.
