II PRP1GH HAS 1 FLED THE COUNTRY Alleged Slayer of Mike Bolnch on His Way to Austria. y.- Adam Prplch, who Is believed to havo slain Mike Boblch from ambush at Garfield Gar-field Thursday, a' week ago, hi tho re;, llgioui outbreak between warring Ausj, trlans. is thought now to have 11c tl the country and to bo well on his way to Austria. The Sheriff's office has been unable to locate him and It is said that, ho had plenty of money with which to make his way to cither soacoast and take ship for his native land. Prplch, It Is told, camo down from Butte, the day of. tho outbreak to seo his brother, Mlko Prplch, who Is held at the county jail on the charge of murder, but Is not believed now to be tho murderer, and went to Garfield, and was told that his brother was the object of vicious attacks at-tacks by countrymen who belonged to the opposite religious faction, and was In hiding hid-ing In fear of his life. Upon being told that his brother was being fired upon nightly by religious enemies, Prplch be- I came enraged and theatened to kill Boblch Bo-blch at once. PIo laid his plans to assassinate assas-sinate Boblch at night, but lost control of himself upon sight of him I hat afternoon after-noon and shot and mortally wounded him. Prplch, It Is told, had 5300 with him and his brother sent him $500 more bv emissaries with tho Information that ho would keep silent as to tho real murderer mur-derer for forty hours, and Instructions to leavo the country. This, it Is believed. Is what Prplch did. although some of his enemies declare that he is still hero. Boblch, It developed Thursday, has two brothers sorvlng llfo sentences. In the Canon City. Colo., prison for murder. Ono killed a man at L.eadvlllc and the other a man at Pueblo. ..The Greek Catholics predominate at Bingham and tho Roman Catholics at Gartleld, consequently there Is a hoglra of tho latter from Bingham whllo tho reverse Is truo at Garfield. In fear of their lives most of the Austrians, who are In the minority at tho respective towns, aro fleeing to Salt Lake City. It is estimated .that the foreign population here has been Increased 100 families within with-in the lust three days.
