GETS A BLACK EYE Two Officers of Bingham Battle by Mistake. It Is reported from Bingham that Night Watchman Coates, one of the best officers of-ficers of the camp. Is wearing a pnlr of beautiful'black eyes, presented to him by Deputy Sheriff Forbes, and yet the two guardians of the peace remain tho best of friends. Forbes and Coatea wero recently re-cently on a still hunt for some man who had been raising Cain in the red light 1 district, and as tho night was very dark Forbes mistook Coates for tho man ho wanted. Jumped on him as he was crawling crawl-ing through a clump of brush and met his natural resistance with a few well-directed well-directed blows. When the error was discovered dis-covered both adjourned to a refreshment parlor beforo continuing the search.
