Tho Costa Rlcan legation In Wa.shlnuton has received re-ceived an official cablegram, dated yesterday, yes-terday, which conveys the information that In tho recent Presidential elections no ono of the candidates obtained tho necessary majority. Mr. Calvo, tho Costa Rlcan Minister, says that there was much division of opinion, not precisely on questions ques-tions of principle, but about the candidates, candi-dates, all of whom ho characterized as liberal, progressive men. Mr. Calvo says that therj might be a compromise among the parties before tho electoral college meets. If not, Congress will havo to decide de-cide the election. |
