Show Grand Theater Lease Boughtby Denver Man A. R Pelton of New Curtis Theater, Denver. Is the New Owner. A. R. Pelton, manager of the New Curtis Cur-tis theater Of Denver, has purchased from Jones & Hammer their lease on the Grand theater of this city, the consideration being be-ing Vd.;' The lease of Jones A Hammer runs for nine, years more. Mr. Pelton paying pay-ing them the amount named for the prlVl-ll prlVl-ll go. The transaction was completed on May 1. but for business reasons has been withheld fr m the public Jon. s Hummer Hum-mer still retain their stock Interest In the bouse, ami while Mr. Pelton expects to be hero much of the time, Thorold L Hummer Hum-mer will be the local manager Mr. Hammer Ham-mer has long been Ihe treasurer of tho Grand and Is well known to the patrons of tho house. Beginning with June l a good stock company com-pany will be seen at the Qrand for six weeks. The prices will be 10, 2 and 3i cnts, a custom Inaugurated during the recent engagement of th Mark Swain company. At the end of the stock company's com-pany's engagement the theater will be closed for repairs. It Is to be thoroughly renovated, a new singe put In, new scenery scen-ery Installed and many needed Improvements Improve-ments made. The seating arrangement of the house will not be cl anged No Dtrk Nights. Early In the fall the house will be reopened re-opened for the winter season.
