Show Thoroughly delightful was the hop at Fori Douglas last evening, which was attended at-tended by quite a few of the city frh-nds Owing to tho Lenten season tho attendance attend-ance was not so large as formerly, but all who went up were rewarded by the usual cordial welcome and a merry evening even-ing dancing to the music furnished by tho excellent orchestra of tho posU The Gamma Phi sorority gave Its first ball of tho season last evening at the University. The men's societies have heretofore beer, the hosts at the college doings, but this time the girls hold sway and it was admitted, even by tho jenlous men, that their ball was about as delightful de-lightful as any that have been given during dur-ing the year. Pretty gowns wero quite tho feature and tho music was splendid. Mrs. F. J. Fabiar. entertained informally on Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Sol Slcgel and her three sons have left for Baltimore, where thoy will bo joined by other relatives and sail for Europe shortly. Mrs. Filer, maid and child, Mrs. Freed and Ellis Freed will sail on tho Kron-prlnz Kron-prlnz Wllhelm March 21 from New York. A charming hostess Is Mrs. T. W. AVhltoley, who entertained yesterday at luncheon complimentary to Mrs. J. U. Glesy.
