Orlando Hardcastlc, the foreman of tho smelter, and Lcandcr Ames, a locomotive engineer In tho company's employ, aro also mado defendants Evans had both legs broken at tho smelter on October 31, 1901, according to his complaint. Ho says this happened through .the fault and negllgenco of tho company and Ito agents above named Evans was a pot shcller ordlnarllv. On tho date named he was told to do the duties du-ties of a switchman In the smelter yards. Owing to tho carelessness of the company and Its servants, who did not tell him of tho dangers of switching. He was run into by an cnglno driven by Ames, the defendant. He clalmo that tho injuries ho has sustained from being run over will crlpplo him for life. |
