Show GRAND TRUNK PACIFIC Will Build to Const Begardless of Land Grant. VICTORIA. B. C. March 17. F. W. .Morse, vice-president of tho Grand Trunk Paclflo railway, left Victoria today for the East, after vain attempts to sccuro a land grant from tho British Columbia Government as a subsldj for tho railway rail-way within tho borders of tho province Ho said that his proposals not being accepted, ac-cepted, the company would now act Independently Inde-pendently of tho province, and tho company com-pany would not now begin work at tho Pacific end, constructing from tho east and reaching tho coast in 1911.
