Show WHISKY FOR POTTER, Baltimore Distillers Ship a Sample of Their Goods to Bishop. BALTIMORE, Oct. 22. In appreciation of Bishop Henry Codman Potter's activity activ-ity In connection with the Subway hotel, distillers of a certain brand of whisky forwarded to the reverend gentleman a case of their well-aged product. The "goods" went forward by express and were plainlv addressed to Bishop Potter at his residence address, 20 Lafayette place, New York. The' following letter from the makers of tho whisky to Bishop Bish-op Potter went forward last night: "Reverend Sir: We havo this day forwarded for-warded you by express ono case of whisky In taking this liberty we do so with no Intention whatever of reflecting upon you. but simply ns an evidence of our friendship' and esteem for oho of the cloth who has the manly, Christian spirit lo advocate tho doctrine set forth In the golden rule.
