Show What Happened to Skaggs. Mr. Skaggs waa born to command. Whenever he sees other men engaged In any kind of work ho feels bound to tell them how to do It. The other day he was walking past a new building where two men were trying to hoist a bucket of tar to an upper floor. Tho man above was pulling the bucket up by a rope, but it blocked against a cornice cor-nice and the man below was telling him how to swing It around to clear It. Mr. Skaggs took In the situation at once. He loudly yelled to the bucket lifter: "J-et go quick a little bit and let 'er swing!" The man who was manipulating manip-ulating tho bucket heard only tho first part of the command to "Let go quick,'' and thinking something had happened, he let go quick. In its downward career the bucket struck a projection and tipped over, emptying its contents upon ilr. Sltaggs's head. Since that -day Mrs. Skaggs has spent most of her waking hours scraping the tar from Mr. Sknggs's skin, accompanying accom-panying the process with lectures upon ! what she cnlls his habit of "eternally mcddlln'."
