Davis, who arrived on his special car from the convention at St. Louis vat 1 o'clock this afternoon. When the train pulled In at the station the music of the Elklns band, which headed the throng, was drowned by the hout that went up when the Democratic tandldnte for Vice-President appeared on ho platform of his car.
