Schwab, who has just arrived here, may bo called upon to fight a duel with Baron de Rognlat, who was interested In the French underwriting syndicate which was to handle the Paris end of the shipbuilding combine. If he declines to meet the French financier with pistol or sword on tho field of honor, thc American steel master will. If de Rognlat Rog-nlat makes good his threat, have a run in with the French law courts. In speaking of tho visit of Mr. Schwab to Paris Baron de Rognlat said: "I am furious with Schwab, and will prosecute blm for defamation and robbery. rob-bery. Schwab Inspired defamatory ar-tlclos ar-tlclos in newspapers about me. I am glad to catch him here, and will apply the French law to him. Thc public will not be sympathetic with him. I would like to fight a duel with him. and will try to arrange one. I will defend my honor and pocket against all men." Mr. Schwab was reluctant to talk about the shipbuilding matter1. He said- "I have, had no meeting with Rognlat. Rog-nlat. I do not know him, and have no business relations with him.
