Show INVESTMENT CONCERN MAN BEHIND BARS BOSTON, Feb. 25. Wallace H. Ham, manager of the American Surety company's com-pany's branch ofllec in this city, was arrested today on larceny charges, the total amount involved being $109,000, according ac-cording to Chief Inspector Watts. The company is a new concern. Ham is 48 years of age. His homo 13 In Brookllne. He Is married and has several children. Although the sum mentioned lh the warrant Is 510-1,000 the American Surety company, in a statement issued today, said that thc net shortage was 5109.000, and that the accounts of St. Luke's Homo for Convalescents and of St. Paul's church, this city, for each of which Ham was treasurer, were affected, af-fected, as well as those of the Security company. NEW YORK, Feb. 25. President Henry L. Lyman of tho American Security Se-curity said today that Wallace H. Ham had been the Boston agent of the company com-pany for nearly sven years, and was highly recommended when he secured the position. The Boston branch offlcc of the American Security company is conoldered the most important in the country, and the volume of business which it transacts is enormous.
