Show BACK FROM 30,000' MILE MISSIONARY TRIP LONDON, Feb. 25. The Rt. Rev. Joseph C. Hartzell, missionary bishop of the Methodist Episcopal church for Africa, who has just returned from a tour of the African missions, extending over a period of nine months, during which ho traveled about 30,000 miles, said to a representative of the Associated Associ-ated Press today: "The missionary work in Africa is progressing well." Dealing with the much discussed question of the introduction of Chinese labor into the Transvaal, Rev. Hartzell said: "In order to meet the unuBual demand, de-mand, I see nothing for It but the importation im-portation of Chinese under strict regulations regu-lations providing for their eventual return re-turn to China." The bishop sails for New York on March 4th. accompanied by the Rev. W. S. Naylor. ' |
