Show MINING MAN DEAD OF HEART FAILURE Col. J. T. Grayson, Ono of Wealthiest Mine Owners of the Northwest, Passes Away in. Cincinnati. PORTLAND, Or., Feb. 25. Tho Oregon-Ian Oregon-Ian has rccolvcd nows of the death of Col. John T. Grayson at Cincinnati today. to-day. Col. Grayson wns ono of tho wealthiest mining men of tho Northwest and has made Portland his home for a number of years. According to the Oregonian'c advices Mr Grayson arrived at the St. Nicholas hotol In Cincinnati at C o'clock tonight, apparently in good health. Ho complained of feeling fatigued and rotlrcd about an hour after his arrival. Shortly after a porter heard groans Issuing Is-suing from Mr. Grayson's room. Summoning Sum-moning help the room was broken Into and Mr. Grayson was found lying on tho bed, breathing heavily and unconscious. Ho died shortly after. Heart disease or apoplexy Is believed to havo cause his death. Mr. Grayson was general manager man-ager of the Alpine Consolidated Gold Minos company and was a man of considerable con-siderable wealth. i |
