Show Special to The Tribune LOGAN. March 2C A delightful social event of the week was the dancing party given by G. B. Thatcher and G. W. Thatcher in their new building, that has recently been remodeled for the Thatcher Music company. Tho gueHta enjoyed themselves immensely. Among thoso present were Messrs, and Mesdamcs B. T. Pyper. J. R. Martlneau, D. H. Thomas, W. B. Preston. W S. Langton, G. W. Thatcher, B. G. Thntchor; Misses Ollle and Harriet Martlneau, Morrell, Ballard, Afton Thatcher, Ray Campbell, Torgen-son Torgen-son and Cnrdon; Dr. Go wans", Dr. Emise, Messrs. George Torgenson, 'Ray West, Carl Garff, David Farrell, O. W. Adams and many others. Mrs. Mabollo Snow Colo is visiting with her mother In Salt Lake. o David Eccles was in Logan visiting with his relatives. Miss Ray Campbell was hostess at an Impromptu affair given In honor of Lieut. Pembroke nt the homo of R. L. Campbell Tuesday evening. Music and cards were enjoyed by a number of young folks. Tho following were present; Misses Lydla Jones, Gepovlovo Thatcher, Virginia Houtz; Messrs. A. Pembrdke. Gene Cluff, Frank McAllister Henry Dorcmus. Tho A. C college dining-room presented a beautiful appcaranco when Misses Houtz and Gardner wero hostesses at a charming dinner" party. The decorations wero unlquo in pink and white, and smllax .was used in profusion. Tho Agricultural club met with Mrs. W. B. Preston. Jr., Monday afternoon, as usual, tand resumed tho study of "Modern Masters." Mrs. Yoder pave (I paper on Antonio Conova. Mrs. G. H. Champ favored fa-vored the club with a paper on Thorwald-5cn. Thorwald-5cn. Mrs. Guy Thatcher a paper on Scha-dow, Scha-dow, and Mrs. Ball on Duprc. John Q. Crltchlow spent a tov: days with Logan friends during the week. m D. 1L McAlister of Salt Lako gavo a stag party to witness "A Night on Broadway," Broad-way," which was a thoroughly enjoyable affair. After tho play the guests wero entertained at a Dutch supper at the homo of R. L. Campbell. Those who enjoyed tho evening wore: Dr. Govans, Messrs. Butler, JsTaylor, D. W. McAlister and R. L. Campbell, Prof. J. A. Anderson of Salt Lako Is in Logan. ' Lieut. Adrian Pembroke was up from tho city during tho week. M ' Miss Virginia Houtz, having completed a course in domestic art3, left for her homo In Ogden Saturday. 4 President J. Tel. Llnforci entertained member's of tho faculty at his home Saturday Sat-urday evening. Tho guests-enjoyed themselves them-selves with games nnd music. Delicious refreshments were. served. Mrs. Pershing of South Bend. Ind., who is spending a few weeks in tho city, was tho guest of honor at an elaborate afternoon after-noon affair given by her sister. Mrs. G. H. Champ, In tho center of a long tablo was an exquisite piece of laca over yellow satin, and daffodils were artistically arranged ar-ranged in cut-glaas vases. At cither end of the tablo large candelabra wero used, which presented a magnificent scene. Dainty refreshments wero served. Games, music and tea woro features of the occasion, the hostess doing the honors charmingly. Thoso Invited to meet Mrs. Pershing were Mesdamcs Fleming. Mad- , dlson. Capt. and Mrs. Styer gavo an Informal dinner party for Mr. Iglehcart and Mr. and Mrs. Lovey of Salt Lake. Covers were laid for the following: Mr. and Mrs. Fleming, Mr. Igleheart, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Lovey, CapL and Mrs. Stycr. Miss Gcncvievo Thatcher entertained Informally In-formally at tho homo of Rachel E, Campbell Camp-bell Friday evening.
