Show Salt Lake. Only City to Which Three Roads Are Building " ' As spring approaches It Is the natural order of events for people to make an " fxtra effort to obtain that new home , -for which they have been longing: and husbanding their resources to purchase, and St seems to us that this Idea Is predominant in, the minds of more pco-"nlc pco-"nlc this spring than It has been since .'.the boom days of 1S90. The people . lealizo that with the advent of the new railroads which nre swiftly connecting this city with other points, the price ..of real estate will greasy appreciate. Our Mr. F. W. Utile, who has lately returned from a trip along the route of the San Pedro road, reports that i - there remains les3 than 200 miles to 'Connect the City of thei Saints with the City of Iho Angels, and that this -gap Is being closed at the rate of one imd one-fourth to two miles a day, there "being from 4000 to 6000 men employed in the construction work. . When this road Is completed, which will not be many months, It means that over 100,000 people each year will pass through this city, en route to the coast, instead of going via San Francisco. Fran-cisco. Is it not fair to presume that a large majority of these additional tourists will spend some time In Zlon, and leave behind so.mo money, many of them investing In property and' Industries In-dustries here? Persons well Informed as to the conditions con-ditions of business and real estate In Pacific coast cities state positively that property Is held there three times as high as It Is in Salt Lake City, while the resources In many cases are not so great There is no other oily n the United States which has three Important Im-portant new lines of railroad building I into It. You can buy any property In this city at the present market price, properly improve It, and It will yield a high rat.e of Interest. The great speculative movement will, no doubt, be confined to that which Is the basis of all wealth, and upon which you can always stand real estate. LITTLE & LITTLE. |
