Show GENERAL., New Mexico The Election Indian Depredations Dial Jlnrders. Santa Fe, N. M., Sept. 5. The election for representatives to the legislature leg-islature passed off quietly in this city. The Democrats put no ticket in the field, and the Itcpublicans were consequently conse-quently elected without opposition. The Daily PuH has received infor mation of the recent murders by Indians Indi-ans in Apache Pass of Mr. Hofmer lange, a German brewer of this city, who was on his way to Tucson to sell a stock of ale. His conveyance- and horses were captured. Special correspondence from Ralston to the Xew Mexican says: News of Indian depredations in the vicinity of Tucson are received nearly every day. A few days since French's train was captured near Fort Crittenden. Four men were killed and everything belonging belong-ing to the train was either carried off or destroyed. |
