Show WANTS 82000 DAMAGES I Claims Dust From the Salt Works II Injured His Property Judge Hiles was occupied yesterday j in hearing the case of George Allgood against the Interifountain Salt company I com-pany in which the plaintiff sought to I I recover 2000 damages alleging that he was and is the owner of a niece of I land near the works qf the defendant company that he improved the land I planted trees on it and erected a dwelling dwell-ing house and intended the remainder of the land for residence purposes but the defendant company allowed to be emitted from their works noxibus vapors va-pors and fine particles of salt and dustin dust-in such quantity that the trees were killed and the atmosphere rendered so I unhealthy that peozdfi would not live there Plaintiff alleges his property prior to the acts of the salt works complained I com-plained of was worth 2500 but now is only worth 500 and plaintiff prays I for 2000 damages and an injunction preventing the defendants from continuing contin-uing to allow the dust and fine particles of salt to be emitted from their works Messrs Moyie Zane Costigan appeared ap-peared for the plaintiff and Messrs Richards Richards for the defendants defend-ants The trial was in progress when court I i adjourned until this morning |
