price was higher at the close than at last nights close Apparently no apprehension ap-prehension was caused by the notification notifi-cation of the roads in the Joint Traffic Trfc association bythe interstate commerce commission calling for information regarding re-garding their contract agreements not reduced to writing and rates I was I rather felt that this would serve to I bring into line the roads which are not disposed to maintain rates and thus serve the same purpose in maintaining I main-taining the associations rates as the western roads seek in agreeing to inform in-form the commission of any discrimination discrimin-ation in rates that may come to their knowledge The grangers held firm today being favorably affected by the recovery in the wheat market AIL showed gains which reached l1 in Burlington and 1 per cent in St Paul The southwestern shares did not partake fully in the general gen-eral improvement in the railway properties prop-erties Sugar was far in the
