The Denver News publishes < the following fol-lowing extract from the report of the manager of the Lehi sugar factory and then urges the people about Denver to build a sugar factory During the sugar campaign just closed the Lehi factory a few miles from Salt Lake City received 33103 tons of beets from 3300 acres an average aver-age of 1154 tons per acre 300 acres averaged about seven tons 2000 acres about eleven tons while the remaining 1000 acres made about fourteen tons per acre of trimmed beets delivered at the factory At 425 per ton 1 the farmers farm-ers got nearly 162000 for the crop from which was made nearly 9500000 pounds of refined granulated white sugar
