Show DELEGATE J L RAWLINS Two Brief Addresses Made by Him Last Evening S One at the Rooms of the Democratic Club and the Other Before the University Club The rooms of the Democratic club in the Progress building were packed last evening in the expectation that an address by Hon J L Rawlins would be delivered Mr Rawlins was present but he only spoke a few words of regrets and was forced to leave He had intended originally leaving for Washington today but yesterday found that in order t6 arrive in time for the session of Congress and attend at-tend to some important business en route he would have to leave earlier He accordingly took his departure last evening and his address to the club was in the nature of a farewell After Mr Rawlins withdrawal a live and interesting session was held a number of public questions coming up and expressions of opinion being heard from many members including in-cluding Hon John T Caine the president pres-ident Mr Moyle Mr Pembroke Mr Bennion of Taylorsville Mr E W Wilson Mr H G Whitney Mr Hansen Han-sen and several others The committee commit-tee on rules and bylaws were given till the next meeting to report This was set for Monday Dec 11 I |
