PRESIDENT GRANT WAS HERETo HERE-To the Editor of THE HERALD Referring to your issue of Sunday last wherein you say President Harrison is the first real President to visit this city I beg to say that on October 3 1875 General > U S Grant then President visited Salt Lako city and his term of office as President of the United States did not expire until V gch 41S77 To him therefore belongs the honor of being first President to visit Utah or Colorado President Brigham Young on being introduced to General Grant on tho platform of his car at Ogden stated that it gave him pleasure to meet the general and that it was the first time in his life he had ever met the President of his country OLD TIMER
