The Party In Arizona TUCSON Ariz April21 The presidential party arrived this evening at 820 oclock Brief stops were made at Deming Bowie Wilcox and Benson At Deming the President Presi-dent made a brief speech in which he referred re-ferred to the disadvantages under which the people of the territories labored long in regard to land titles and said it had been a pleasure to him to urge on Congress the establishment es-tablishment of a special land courljto settle sette the question once for all He was glad to say the law had been enacted and immediately immedi-ately upon his return to Washington he expected ex-pected to announce the judges of that court and set them to work so the citizens shall certainly within two years have all these questions settled He hoped they would then see an increase in population popu-lation that had not yet been possible pos-sible and which would tend to develop their great resources open up Jands to settlement set-tlement and make them a prosperous people peo-ple The speech was greeted with great applause The party met with a royal reception re-ception at Tucson the city being brilliantly illuminated a salute was fired and bells rung After a brief reception the train left for Los Angeles
