Show Syniniiony-GIioiP iie!iGis: Dr-ioli Tickets for the historic first joint appearance of the Clan Svmphony and Salt Lake Mormon Tabernacle Choir on May 29 at 8 p.m. in the Salt Lake Tabernacle went on sale a week ago, and the Utah Symphony Office which is handling the tickets reported that initial sales have been brisk. "THERE IS still an excellent ex-cellent selection of seats in all locations." reported Herold Gregory, executive director of the symphony, 'but we expect the sale to pick up substantially substan-tially now that our publicity is out, and that meaas the belter locations will soon be taken. Concurrent with this report. Dr. Keith Engar. vice chairman chair-man of the Festivals Committee Commit-tee of the Utah Bicentennial Commission, sponsor of all of the combined Choir-Symphony Choir-Symphony concerts, announced an-nounced that in deference to the wishes of members of the Bicentennial Commission the i'i tickets for the May 29 performance per-formance in the Salt Lake Tabernacle have been reduced to $2 so that this outstanding out-standing event will be within the reach of all. IT WAS the desire of the Bicentennial Commission from the very start." explained Dr. F.ngar. "that admission charges to all six concerts of the Choir and Symphony be kept as low as possible " Given the hard realities of economics and limited funds from the Bicentennial Commission." Com-mission." he continued, "it was obvious that substantial box office receipts would be necessarv to cover the enormous enor-mous costs of moving these nearly WW performers from city to city."
