The new arrival, a boy, born at University Hospital, Hos-pital, weighing in at four pounds 2 ounces, has been carefully watched in preparation prepara-tion for his release to his family. Anxiously awaiting their brother's arrival are Kelly, Cami and Darin. Home for a visit with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Lund, are Captain and Mrs. Myron Hendrick of Wichita, Kansas and their three children. The travelers arrived to attend funeral services ser-vices for a relative, remained for conference, and extended visits with friends and relatives. rela-tives. Upon their return to Wichita Wichi-ta this week, they will begin packing for their mext assignment as-signment in the Netherlands, where Capt. Hendrick's will be assigned with the Air Force. They will be stationed in Rotterdam about three years. Mrs. Melinda Weeks is enjoying en-joying a visit with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Wilcox and family in San Dimas, Calif. Mrs. Weeks made the trip expecially to attend funeral services for a family member, then remained for a brief vacation. Woods Cross Stake spirituality spiri-tuality night is scheduled for Friday at the Stake Center. All Blazers and Merry Miss classes in Primary are invited invit-ed to bring their parents for special speakers, Wanda Shite and Dan Keeler, and additional presentations. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Hendry and children Tina and Doug, were hosts on Saturday evening for a party to honor Mike Anderson, prior to his . departure for an LDS Mission to Spain. Assisting with potluck dinner and the even-, ing's events were Mr. and'-, Mrs. George Ballinger and Ann; Mr. and Mrs. Ted Cahoon, Shanna and Joel. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Yates and Lisa and Lori; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Payne. Invited guests were the Warren Anderson An-derson family, parents and family of the guest of honor. Mrs. Delsa Stevens has returned re-turned home for the present from Florida, for surgery performed recently at South Davis Hospital. She is the mother of Mrs. Gayla Titen-sor. Titen-sor. Kim Payne, son of Charles and Ruth, returned home from Reno, Nev. on Sunday evening following attendance at the Western Regional College Conference for Inter Fraternal Councils held at the University of Nevada and convention center at Pioneer Inn. Mr. Payne is president of the Inter Fraternal Council at the U of U, and represented that organization with two other co-workers. Welcome home to college students who have completed another year at Ricks. Alan Westergard, son of Wayne and Sherrie Westergard; and Suzanne Kagie, daughter of Mrs. Annabelle Dixon and Dick Kagie. Von Faler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elton Faler, graduated from that institution, and arrived home in time for his brother Mark's farewell on Sunday. Mark is leaving for the new Winnipeg, LDS Mission Mis-sion in Canada, May 8. When Woods Cross Stake Relief Society Chorus presents a concert, the attending at-tending audience knows it has heard the best. Friday was no exception, as the annual event of combined ward members presented a program "Is Freedom Free?" at the Stake House under the direction of - Mrs. Mary Adamson and ac-companied ac-companied by Geri Ballard. An hour of superb entertainment enter-tainment was enjoyed as the talented Mrs. Adamson, who also wrote the script, presented the Stake's Bicentennial Bicen-tennial chorus in an invigorating in-vigorating and heart warming warm-ing performance. Also of interest was the Bicentennial quilt display, exhibits from each ward, many that will be entered in State competition because of originality of design and talented workmanship. A large thanks to all who contributed con-tributed to make this the outstanding out-standing cultural event of the week. Mrs. Amelia Felix is still at South Davis Hospital. Drop her a line and wish her well. She has been at that location for a month, being treated for pneumonia and related illnesses. ill-nesses. Home from BYU after a year of higher education are Tina Hendry, daughter of Joe and Shirley; Irene Allred, daughter of Juan and Gladys Allred; and Paula Lowe, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Jay Lowe. Mrs. Luann Lewis and daughter Kris, were in the area last week for a brief spring vacation. They now make their home in Cleveland, Ohio.- |
