Show Bands Join In Festival Twelve high school symphonic bands from Utah, Idaho and Arizona will attend the second annual Utah State University Band Festival May 7 on the campus. PARTICIPATING high schools include Logan, Cedar City, Orem, Davis, Murray, Bountiful, Bear River, Richfield Rich-field and Emery High Schools in Utah; Bonneville and Madison High Schools in Idaho; and Round Valley High School in Arizona. Each band will present a 25 minute program to be adjudicated ad-judicated by Brent Heisinger, San Jose State College; William Rhoads, University of New Mexico; and Max Dalby, Utah State University. SPONSORED by the USU Music Department, the festival fes-tival is to provide a competitive competi-tive opportunity in an effort to motivate students and thus result in better musicians and better bands, a department spokesman said. |
