Show Monte Vista Students if. Bowl In Olympics Monte Vista students enjoyed en-joyed a successful day of bowling at the Special Olympic Olym-pic Bowling Tournament held at Wasatch Lanes in Salt Lake City on April 17. THE FOLLOWING students participated in individual bowling: Tommy Koop, David DeCou, Linda Schell, Diane Wiser, Terry Graham and Jerold Smedley. Carleen Hess, Curtis Dyk-man, Dyk-man, June Thorsted, Toni Hanson, Kathy Kearsley, Mike Smith, Michael Boul-den, Boul-den, Jimmy Weber, Brent Brighton and Linda Mickel-son. Mickel-son. IN THE 12 to 13 year age group, David DeCou took second place; Toni Hanson placed first in the 15 to 16 year age group; Linda Mickelson placed second and Brent Brighton Dlaced third in the 19 to 21 year age group. Two teams represented Monte Vista. Team A, over 16 years of age consisted of Stephen Ratcliffe, Pam Moss, Gaylene Hodsor., Jay Smith and David Thomas. This team placed seventh out of 24 teams. TEAM B for students 13 to 15 years of age, consisted of Jane Kilfoyle and Scott Snarr. This team placed second and won a trophy. In the physically handicapped han-dicapped section of the bowling, all ages combined, Johnny Sevenants took second place. MONTE VISTA staff would like to extend appreciation to Davis Lanes for making available that facility to help prepare our students for this tournament, kj |
