Show Woods X By RUTH S. PAYNE 295-4287 Sunday's unusual spring storm, presented the city with flooding problems in the Cahoon Acres area, as plugged storm sewer channels chan-nels forced water through man-hole covers and any available area, into streets causing residents much concern con-cern as the running water backed up to doorsteps in the east portion of the 700 West area. City officials, residents, and neighbors worked together to divert the waters, until the sudden large proportions subsided, lessening lessen-ing the flood danger. Monday found crews with jet washers, hoping to alleviate the plugged section between the freeway and 720 West areas on 1500 South. A huge thanks to those who were available to help, since many people were in church at the time their homes were threatened. |
