Show Girls' Softball Team To Play Hcber Here Wed. Game Set For 8 P. M. July 21 At Ball Park; Springville Girls Win Over Heber In Game At Charleston Girls softball will come back into the sports whirl in Springville after a lapse of a few years of consistent play, when the Springville girls club will play the Heber team in a game scneauiea tor tne Daii park next Wednesday night, July 21 at 8 p.m. Manager John Roberson, who has fervently worked for the return re-turn of the feminine softball sport here, has a veteran club lined up. Pitching duties are handled by veteran Beverly Twelves, who hurls one of the fastest balls of any lady twirler seen here. Others in the line-up include Ruth Sargent, Sar-gent, Betty Stuart, Beverly Brady, Iris Patterson, Katherine Lewis, Donna Ellison, "Ferg" Ferguson, Donna Park, Joan Goodrich, Martha Mar-tha Fotheringham, Fon Hill, catcher and Margery "Spud" Hinckley, first base artist. These girls have played two games to date and split, winning their last contest at Charleston with the Heber team and losing a close 6-8 decision earlier, to Provo. The Heber score read 28-6 for the locals. The game Wednesday will be free to the public and an interesting interest-ing game is expected. |
