Show Lovely Home Wedding Unites Couple; To Lire At Palmyra By soft candlelight in a lovely Rome ceremony, Miss Norma Nell Straw became the bride of William G. Hansen. Jay Christensen, president of Palmyra stake, performed tbe ceremony before a group of im- mediate relatives and close friends. The lovely bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Straw, and bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Hansen, greeted their many friends immediately after the marriage mar-riage ceremony at the home of the bride's parents. In the receiving line were Miss Nanna Lee Reynolds, Rey-nolds, maid of honor; Carma Jean Mendenhall, Nell Jean Vane and Carol Jean Straw, bridesmaids, all attired in pastel colored formals. They carried old-fashioned nosegays nose-gays in corresponding colors. Allan Jorveson was best man, and little Steven Dalton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Dalton, in for.mal attire, was the ring bearer. The bride was attractively gowned in a white tissue-taffeta wedding dress with finger-tip veil and carried a bridal bouquet centered cen-tered by a single orchid. Parents of the newlyweds assisted as-sisted in the receiving line. Mrs. Alice Syme of Provo and t Craig Straw were acting host and hostess hos-tess for the evening. After their reception, Mr. and Mrs. Hansen left on a wedding trip to southern Utah, and are now making their home in Palmyra. -A number of pre-nuptial parties were given to honor the bride, including in-cluding a miscellaneous shower at the Fourth ward chapel, at which her aunts, Mrs. Alice Syme of Provo and Mrs. Christine Hatfield of this city and Mrs. Oliver Porter were hostesses. Several friends from the Springville Spring-ville bank, where the bride is employed, em-ployed, honored her at a lovely shower given at the home of Mrs. Mary Martindale. After a delicious delic-ious lunch, she was presented with a lovely gift. The bride was also honored at a shower in Pleasant Grove, where Mrs. Doreen Emmett was hostess. Ten close friends of the bride spent a delightful evening making a bride's book and visiting. Later refreshments were served and the guest of honor was presented with a number of beautiful gifts. |
