Show Temple Is Scene Of Marriage Rites Sept. 14 was the occasion of the marriage in ' the Salt Lake LDS Temple of Earl Crosby and Joyce Spenser of Driggs,. Idaho. In the evening a reception and wedding dance were held in -the Mt. Emmons Em-mons Ward Chapel for the couple. The bride was beautifully gowned in a traditional dress of White lace over stain, her finger tip veil was held in place by a simple tiara. Out of Town guests at the reception re-ception included Mr. and Mrs. George Spencer of Driggs, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs- Sam Crosby and two children, Mrs. Naomi Bliss, of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Rogers, Rog-ers, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Lloyd of Ioka, and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Lloyd of Roosevelt. Serving of refreshments ...was under the direction of Mrs. Lora Evans and Mrs.. Fey Miles, sisters of the groom. The program was very ably emceed by Wm. Evans who presented an array of entertaining enter-taining talent. Mrs. Lorraine Dastrup Perkins of Calif., flew to her home to rejoin her husband on Sept. 15, having spent several weeks visiting visit-ing at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. LaFarge Dastrup Miss Etholene Burton of Tal.- mage, is returning to the Brigham Young University on Sept. 24. This will be Miss Burtons third year at the institution. Mr. and Mrs. Wm Carl. Anderson Ander-son were called to Sunnyside to the home of their daughter and her family where Mr. McDonald had fractured his leg. They spent most of the week helping out in the emergency. The first baseball game of the school year for Altamont was played against Duchesne on their home diamond. Coach Bearden used a total of 27 ball players on the team. The final score was Altamont 19 and Duchesne 2 Mr. and Mrs. Owen Goodrich and girls of Bluebell visited at the home of Jonny Lambert and family Sunday, Sept. 16. Mr. and Mrs. Barton Bennion returned from an excursion trip into Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks- The couple traveled travel-ed into Canada as far as Leth- bridge before returning. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hartman made a recent combined pleasure and business trip to Salt Lake and Spanish Fork. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Miles and son Douglas were in Roosevelt Saturday at the home of the Scotts. Edgar and Douglas also helped Grover Mitchell harvest his corn this weekend. Seven year old Brad Wall celebrated cele-brated his birthday with a party for boys and girls in his class at his home in Mt. Emmons Sept. 9. Games and goodies occupied the afternoon entertainment. |
