PAUL ALLEN (Judy Jolley) Reception Honors Newlyweds After Marriage in Salt Lake Temple Rites In a very impressive ceremony Miss Judy Kay Jolley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Jolley, on June 15 became the bride of Paul E. Allen in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Elder George Q. Morris of the Council of Twelve, officiated. offic-iated. Among those accompanying the young couple and witnessing witness-ing -the sacred rites were the groom's parents, President and Mrs. Elwood Allen, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hilton, Mrs. Keith Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Terry Holman, Bishop and Mrs. Lewis Harmer, Mr. and Mrs. Don Hales, and Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Frampton. After the temple service the group, joined by the bride's par-rents par-rents and family, and others were guests of the groom's parents at a wedding breakfast in Salt Lake City. At the reception that followed in the evening at the Timpanogos Stake House all details were carefully care-fully worked in a color scheme of blue and white. The bride and groom and their party received relatives and friends before a background of white arch with baskets of summer flowers. They were assisted in greeting friends by their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Jolley 'and Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Allen and their par-' ty, Mrs. Don Hales, sister of the bride, matron of honor and bridesmaids Janice Allen, sister of the groom, Linda Richardson, Mrs, Clark Jolley, Marilyn Jolley Jol-ley and best man Terry Holman, and Kent Allen. The youthful bride was lovely in a gown of silk organza with embroidered alencon lace top' enhanced en-hanced with flowered neckline, seed pearls and sequins, marked the bodice and the skirt. She donned a petal hat of pearled lace, that released the short veil of illusion and lace. She carried car-ried a bridal bouquet of three cymbodium orchids nestled in dwarf roses and stephonitis. Her attendants donned blue crystalline gowns fashioned with large collars, full skirts and matching bow hats, and held white baskets of white summer blooms. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Jolley chose an old rose lace sheath fashioned with large collar. Mrs. Allen donned a white embroidered lace sheath underscored under-scored with blue. Both mothers pinned on corsages of white roses and silver leaves. The serving area was marked with small white trees with pink flowers and ribbons. The wedding wed-ding cake centered a glass top table with a unique lighting effect. ef-fect. The serving tables held hurricane lamps with fresh flowers flow-ers at the base. During the evening organ music mu-sic was played by Gene Halldday. Clark Jolley sang several numbers, num-bers, requests of the bride. Greeting guests at the door were Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hilton, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Frampton, Kenny Jolley and Mrs. Lois Powell. Pow-ell. Young ladies who served were Susan Jolley, Cherrie Jolley, Jol-ley, Ardith Walker, Joye Nelson, Nel-son, Judy Peterson, Alene Gill-man, Gill-man, and acting as hostesses at the serving area were Norene Bylund and June Colledge. Gifts were cared for and arranged ar-ranged by Mrs. Vern Rowley, Mrs. Stan West, Mrs T. Bath, Janice Nelson, and Merlene Jolley. Jol-ley. Mrs. Leland Fenton and Mrs. Terry Holman handled the guest . book. The young couple honeymooned in Sun Valley and have now established es-tablished a home in Provo. |
