JAMES ADAMS St. George Temple wedding ceremony unites Marie Farnsworth and Jim Adams In a marriage which was solerrrHizod in the St. George LDS Tt'mple on June 11, Miss Marie'Farnsworth became the bride of James Adams, with President Arthur J. Barlocker, officiating in the double ring ceremony. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Farnsworth,, Farns-worth,, and the bridegroom is the sbn of Mr. and Mrs. Dyle Adams, all of Parowan. The newlyweds were honored hon-ored at a reception that evening, eve-ning, held in the Third Ward cultural hall hosted by the parents of the bride. For this event'.'the bride wore an A-line A-line fatin and lace dress. Her veil 'of bridal illusion was trimmed in lace and she carried car-ried a bouquet of white roses with an orchid in the center. Attending the bride were Mrs. Gary (LaVona) Carter, Miss Gayle Lund, Miss Jerri Limb, Miss Jill Adams, Miss Lorraine Farnsworth and Miss Cheryl Stubbs. Flower girl was Cheri Giacalone. All wore lavender la-vender satin and silk dresses, white flower headpieces and held bouquets of daisies with purple streamers. Standing in the wedding line with the bridegroom were - Jerry Trimmer -and Kurtess Walker. Ushers were Nolan 'Truman, Scott Day, Kim Ad-1 Ad-1 ams, Gary D. Orton, Wayne and Eldon Stubbs. To greet the guests the mother mo-ther of the bride wore a lime green dress with white lace on neck and sleeves, and mother mo-ther of the bridegroom wore a lime green dress with lace and both wore corsages of roses and carnations. For her going away costume the bride wore a blue lace dress with bell lace sleeves with ribbon. Their honeymoon took them to Las Vegas and St. George. Mrs. Adams is a graduate of Parowan High School, has attended at-tended Southern Utah State College for one year and for the past year has been serving as assistant Iron County treasurer, trea-surer, Mr. Adams is also a Parowan High Graduate and on June 5 received his associate asso-ciate degree from the Utah Trade Tech at Provo. He is now employed at Brian Head Ski Resort. Assisting at the reception, Mrs. Jerri Watson was at the guest book, In the;" kitchen were Mrs. Wanda Benson, Mrs. Cora Hulet, Mrs. Betty Stubbs, Debra Benson, and JoAnn Holyoak. Serving were Denise Benson, Suzanne Pritchard, Donna Abbott, Janet and Janice Ja-nice Lamoreaux, Joanne Giacalone. Gia-calone. Relatives attending the event ev-ent from out of the area were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Giacalone, Giaca-lone, California; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Truman,' Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Adams, Mrs. Ross Barriek and daughter-in-law, Mrs. Robert Barrick and infant daughter. Las Vegas; Mr. and Mrs. DoMar Stubbs, ' of St. George; Mr. and Mrs. John Southwieh and Mrs. Mack Matthews and family of Dug-way. |
