Show 7 MR. AND MRS. CARL B. NELSON Double-ring Rites Uunite Carl B. Nelson and Miss Cathy Brinton Miss Cathy Brinton and Carl Bengt Nelson were married mar-ried recently at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Barr Brinton, in Midvale, Utah. A garden reception re-ception was held following the double-ring ceremony. Friday, June 30, the newly-weds newly-weds were honored at an open house held in the Enoch Ward Cultural Hall by the bridegroom's bride-groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Garth Bengt (Bud) Nelson. The bride was lovely in a floor-length gown of white Teekwood satin styled with an empire waist. She wore a shoulder-length veil of il- and Joyce Nelson, sisters of the bridegroom. Standing in line as best man was Kim Leigh. The bride's mother wore an off-white brocade two-piece dress, and the bridegroom's mother wore a yellow knit linen two-piece dress. They both wore orchid corsages. During the open house the bride's sisters, Miss Shaun Brinton was at the guest book and Miss Shana Brinton attended at-tended the gift room. Alter-nating Alter-nating at the serving table were Mrs. Mildred Maxwell, Mrs. Judy Maxwell, Mrs. Kaye Barnes, and Mrs. Laura Bills. lusion net caught to a pin box crown hand decorated with seed pearls. Completing the wedding ensemble for the bride was her bouquet of Tropicana roses. In keeping with the yellow and orange color scheme, the bridal attendants wore matching match-ing styled chiffon tent dresses and carried accenting long stemed roses. Bridemaids included in-cluded Joyce Kliman, Annette Giles, and Sharon Green. Junior Jun-ior bridesmaids were Annette ' Kitchen hostesses were Mrs. Royce Chamberlain, Mrs. Al-vin Al-vin Bradshaw, Mrs. Vernile Terry, Mrs. Hunter Gibson, and Mrs. Hunter Grimshaw. Serving as host and hostess for the open house were Mr. and Mrs. George Halterman. The bride has studied at the College of Southern Utah and is presently a student at - beautv college in Salt Lake City. The bridegroom is a graduate of .Cedar City High School and has attended the College of Southern Utah where he was active in the orchestra. The newlyweds will make their home in Salt Lake City where the bridegroom is employed em-ployed with the Couch Construction Con-struction Company. |
