Farnsworth were married on December 22nd In the Salt Lk j Temple. Theodor? M. Burton, as-1 slstant to the Council of Twelve Apostles, officiated. After the ceremony, the couple was honored honor-ed at the wedding breakfast given gi-ven at the Lion House Social Center by parents of the bridegroom,, bride-groom,, Dr. and Mrs. R. W. Farnsworth, Farns-worth, Cedar City. The bride's parents are Mr ;id Mrs. Clen H. Campbell of Salt Lake. On December 25, they were al-' al-' so honored al a reception at the LDS Institute of Religion in Cedar Ce-dar City. The bride wore a full length gown of white silk organza styled styl-ed with a bouffant skirt with a bustle effect. The bodice was overlaid with hand-run lace and an Identical garland motif was repeated on the skirt. A featured crown held the veil of silk illusion. illu-sion. She carried a bouquet of red and white roses. Attending the bride as matron . of honor was her sister, Mrs. La Var Short. Other attendants Included In-cluded Mrs. James T. Judd and Miss Joan Farnsworth, sister of the bridegroom. Flower girls were Debra and Tamra Short. Attendants were attired In Identical sheaths of red velvet. They wore white fur hats and carried white muffs decorated with holly. The duties of best man were performed by Kent Farr.sworth, brother of the bridegroom. I'sh-ers I'sh-ers were David Farnsworth, Jon Isom. and Lee Sherratt. The bride's mother chose for the occasion a green satin sheath overlaid with green lace. The bridegroom's mother chose a beige satin dress with a beaded scooped out neck. The skirt fell into soft pleats. Both wore corsages cor-sages of red roses. furnished by Vivian Palmer, Bert Carpenter, and a string ensemble consisting of Roy Halversen, Robert Ro-bert Bradshaw, Mrs. Kerry Jones, Mrs. York Jones and Mrs. Jay Thorley. Serving at the reception were Linda Whetten. Susan Ashcroft, Karen Allen, Diane Gillies and Susan Seaman. At the guest book was Mrs. Lorin Jones. Assisting in the gift room were Lyona Cox, Kay Ashcroft, Mrs. Kenneth Grlener, and Mrs. Scott Bulloch. Assisting in the dining room were Mrs. L. A. Whetten, Mrs. Theron Ashcroft, Miss Mary L. Bastow, Miss Mary Short. Mrs. George Jones, Mrs. Joseph N. Smith and Mrs. Thomas Foley. The bride is a graduate of the University of Utah where she served as treasurer of her sorority, soro-rity, Delta Gamma, Omicron Nu, Spurs, and Cwean. She also received re-ceived honors at graduation. Jerry has nxcr.Uy completed an LDS mission to Southern Australia. Aus-tralia. He has also completed two years at the University of Utah where he was an officer and member of Sigma Thi Epsl-lon. Epsl-lon. The couple are making their home in Salt Lake where the bridegroom will continue his studies stu-dies at the U. of U. in Psychology, Psycho-logy, and the bride will continue teaching In the Granite District. |
