DANIEL DIX LaRue Bladen, Daniel Dix Rites Revealed Honeymooning In Phoenix, Ariz, are newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Dlx. The bride, the former LaRue Blnden, and her bridegroom were united in marriage Friday at the LDS Temple In St. George by Harold S. Snow, temple president. presi-dent. That same evening the popular Cedar City couple were o at a reception at the Cedar Stake House. I Assisting with receiving guests at the reception were the Just- wed's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Bladen and Mr. and Mrs. Claude D. Dix, both of Cedar City. For the nuptial events, the bride wore a ballerina length gown of white nylon net and lace over satin. Her veil, of ny-; Ion net edged In lace, cascaded from a crown of seed pearls and l rhlnestones. The bridal bouquet was of talisman rosebuds about a yellow-center white orchid. Attending the bride as maid of honor was Miss JoAnn Nelson. Other attendants Included Miss Judy Nelson, Miss Judi Lunt, Mrs. Sheldon Sargent, Miss Ka-thryn Ka-thryn Coulam and Miss Barbara Bauer. Attendants' dresses were made of rust taffeta with apricot apri-cot cummerbunds and sashes to the hem line. Their bouquets were of tangerine carnations' with gold net trim and apricot and rust ribbon. I Nieces of the bride, Marie Bla- den and LuAnn Bladen, were flower girls. They wore dresses of apricot taffeta with rust cummerbunds cum-merbunds and sashes and carried car-ried flowers of yellow carnations around a center tangerine carnation carna-tion arranged in white baskets. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Bladen wore a sheath dress of apricot crystal charm fabric and her corsage was of talisman rosebuds with matching ribbons, while the bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Dlx, chose a toast-brown wool sheath with matching cummerbund cum-merbund with rhinestone pin trim. Her flowers were also talisman talis-man rosebuds. Both bride and bridegroom are graduates of the Cedar City High School. Mr. Dix has also graduated gradu-ated from College of Southern Utah and has Just recently returned re-turned from a two-year mission for the LDS Church In Western Canada. While at CSU he was active with the Intercollegiate Knights. The new Mrs. Dlx has attended attend-ed CSU where she was. affiliated with the Phi Alpha Beta sorority. At the time of her wedding she was a secretary for Commercial Credit Corporation in Cedar City. Following their honeymoon in Phoenix the couple will return to make their home in Cedar City where Mr. Dlx will work) with his father at the Dlx Tlrel Shop. |
