Show Outstanding staffers recognized for excellence by Board of Education By DONETA GATHERUM FARMINGTON Three outstanding central office staff members were recognized for their achievements and contributions contribu-tions to the district at the April 19 meeting of the Davis County Board of Education. Honored were Yvonne (Bonnie) Middle-ton, Middle-ton, retiring elementary language arts supervisor; Lynn Tren-beath, Tren-beath, director of School Foods and Vocational Home Economics Econo-mics Supervisor and Roger Glines, district clerk-treasurer. Mrs. Middleton, who will retire in June after working 32 years in Davis District, started her career as a teacher at Layton Elementary School. She held this position for seven years before be-fore moving to Tolman where she taught a year. The rest of the time she has worked in the central office as a supervisor. The recognition given Lynn Trenbeath from the board was her second award in ten days. On April 9, she was named Professional Home Economist of the Year for Utah at the UHEA convention held in Park City. In addition to teaching home economics at Ben Lomond High in Ogden and at Mueller Park Junior in Bountiful, Mrs. Trenbeath has been the home ec supervisor in Davis District for five years. This is her first year as school foods director. Mr. Glines has received numerous honors for his accomplishments accomplish-ments in accounting and financial reporting. The most recent came from the Government Finance Officers Association in Chicago. It was a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in financial reporting. This is the seventh occasion Mr. Glines has received this top award. |
