Show W : anaconda. : 4 -f 4 ANACONDA. (Correspondence Intermountain Catholic.) Anacond'a, Mont., Dec. 6. The A, O. H. hail was the scene of a very pleasant card party and dance on Monday night, December 4, given by the Ladies' Auxiliary Aux-iliary of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Hiber-nians. Progressive whist was played. The ladies' first prizet a handsome silk umbrella, was won by Mrs. J. O'Don- ell, while the ladies' bocby prize, a. red-coated red-coated jumping jack, was won by Miss Alice Mahoney. Hugh Galligher captured cap-tured the gentlemen's first prize, a box of stationery, and Peter Matthews carried car-ried off the booby prize, a diminutive doll. At midnight a luncheon of sandwiches, sand-wiches, cake and coffee was served, and dancing was in order. B..N. Kennedy, who recently returned from Manila with Company. M of Anaconda, Ana-conda, was up from Copper City, last Monday. Mr.. Kennedy is now deputy in the clerk and recorder's .office of Deer Lodge county. He is an old newspaper news-paper man, and has many, friends in Anaconda and Butte. J-r The manv friends of Sheriff C." C. Proctor of Great Falls will be surprised to learn of his marriage to Miss May Gallegher in Minneapolis on Thanksgiving Thanks-giving Day. The young lady is very well known here, having taught in the public schools many years. May good luck go with them. |
