Show Enoch By VEDA MATHESON Record Correspondent Mr. and Mrs. Ivan J. Matheson have a new baby boy born last week at the Valley View Medical Center. This makes a boy and a girl for Ivan and Shireen. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Matheson spent part of Last week visiting in Ogden with Mr. and Mrs. Jay Halterman. They also visited with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Matheson who were there from Firth, Idaho, and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Daly of Lan-, der, Wyo. Mrs. Louise Matheson and Mrs. Iris Matheson were in Ogden from Salt Lake for the day. Also present was Frank and Berniece's daughter, Evelyn Hill and her daughter. LaMar and Veda also visited in Salt Lake with Mr. and Mrs. Barnard Matheson. Mrs. Belva Anderson accompanied LaMar and Veda , to Salt Lake to visit with her brother Farrell Murie, who is hospitalized in the Veterans Medical Center for treatment of lukemia. The Enoch Second Ward Conference was held on Sunday morning with many Stake leaders present. Gail Grimshaw was here over the weekend for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Keith Grimshaw and family. Mrs. Amanda Pace and daughter, Helen Pace, were in Salt Lake the first part of last week visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Albrecht and family. Mr. and Mrs. Don Smith received word over the weekend that Don's mother, Blye Smith, is in LDS Hospital after suffering a heart attack. Walt and Blye moved to Salt Lake from this area recently. Mrs. Helen "Seltzer returned to her home in Cypress, Calif., last wee'k after an extended visit here with Mrs. Mary DeWitt. Bishop and Mrs. Garth Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Webster returned earlier this week from a trip into Idaho for the purpose of advertising our Southern Utah area as a tourist .attraction. Garth is the, Secretary of the Cedar City Chamber" of" Commerce. Com-merce. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Edwards were in Salt Lake last week to attend funeral services for their son-in-law's father. Mr. and Mrs. James Harrison enjoyed a weekend visit from Mrs. Harrison's parents, Mr." and Mrs. Mervin Jones of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Bernice Maynard of Bloomington spent some time here with Mrs. Kay Galley. Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Slye of Milford stopped overnight with Mrs. Zelma Alger. Russell Matheson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clint Matheson received word last week that he has been, nominated to join the Cedar City Middle School Chapter of the National Honor Society. Mr. and Mrs. R.J. Christiansen returned last week from Montezuma Mon-tezuma Creek where they helped Mark and Debbie Christiansen with their new baby. |
